Otto runs continuously on five demo accounts, one for each risk setting, Low, Medium, High and Safe, and one in Prop mode. Each is monitored by Karnek, an account-monitoring service, through a read-only connection to the broker, so every trade, its stop loss and its target are recorded as they happen. The connection is read-only for that reason: a record we could edit would be worthless.
All five accounts started together and are recorded on Karnek, read-only from the broker. Every position Otto opens is written to the record the moment it happens, with the stop loss and the target it was given. The same five figures are shown for each account, including the bad ones.
The Karnek record is the only source of Otto's live figures. Nothing on this page is uploaded or entered by hand. Until the forward test has recorded enough months to be meaningful, no figures are shown, and the table below marks where each one will publish.
The backtest shows what these strategies did across 17 years of history. The forward test shows what they are doing now, on live accounts, recorded trade by trade from the broker. It is only a few weeks old, so the detail below fills itself in as the months accrue. Nothing here is backfilled or smoothed.
The date the accounts began, and the pre-defined pass and fail criteria they are being measured against, publish on this page once the record is live. No figures appear until enough months of trading have been recorded.
Otto's forward test began on a fixed start date, recorded on Karnek. The accounts are being measured against pass and fail criteria that were set in advance, not chosen after the fact.
When enough months have been recorded, the figures, the start date and the criteria publish here together. No figures, no promises.
Every Otto account we have made public, verified and read-only from the broker. The module updates itself, and an account only appears once it has enough history to be worth reading. It is early, and we show it anyway.
Each account runs one of Otto's settings. The columns below are the figures we will publish for each, filled from Karnek, read-only from the broker, once the forward test has recorded enough months.
| Setting | Return | Max drawdown | Worst month | DD95 | Losing months |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Low | publishing | publishing | publishing | publishing | publishing |
| Medium | publishing | publishing | publishing | publishing | publishing |

Every figure in this table is read from the Karnek record. Nothing here is entered by hand, and no figure publishes until the account has recorded enough months to be meaningful.
Otto shows the same figures for every account, including the ones that do not flatter it. Here is what each one is, so the record reads the same to you as it does to us.
Low, Medium, High and Safe change how much Otto risks on each trade, not which markets it trades. Prop mode applies tighter limits built for funded-account rules. A higher setting means larger gains and larger drawdowns.
The account's percentage change since it began, after costs. It scales with the setting, so read it next to the drawdown, never on its own.
The largest fall from a peak to the low that followed it. The single worst drop the account has taken so far.
The worst calendar month the account has recorded. A plain read on how bad a bad month has been.
The 95th percentile drawdown, the level that was not exceeded 95% of the time. A truer picture of the usual downside than the single worst figure.
The share of months that ended down. Otto has losing months, and this is how often they came.
Every trade is recorded as it happens, read-only from the broker. When the forward test has recorded enough months, every figure on this page publishes from that record.
